My membership which was established last year was cancelled due to inactivity. I called to re open it and was told that I wasn't eligible for membership and never was and that the navy federal account specialist should have never opened to begin with.

I find it to be pretty sad when an actual NAVY VETERAN who served 4 1/2 years active duty, 2 yrs active reserves and 4 years inactive reserves with a honorable discharge isn't eligible to be a member of the NAVY FEDERAL CREDIT UNION but a person thinking about maybe serving i.e. ( dep ) candidate is LOL!!!!!

I have no need or interest in being a member except I was just interested in their mortgage refinance rates??

I would suggest you CHANGE your name because if a EX NAVY VETERAN who served honorably isn't eligible but a kid in high school in the DEP program is then you have REAL problems!!!!!!

LOL good luck with that HOT MESS you've got going on there !!!!

Typical Government...and people wonder why it's screwed up:)
